I'm NOT a fan of using modern social media, or uploading data to ANY platforms as nowadays in 2026 things tend to get suspended, banned, removed - or the ENTIRE CONTENTS suddenly can get totally deplatformed!

So the good 'old fashioned' website (unique when the 'net' first began) is actually still the best way I think to ensure a space on the web that isn't under the control of any other person, or big corporation!

More on that later.....

It's ironic as by now in 2026 (from 1990) everyone was expected to have their own 'home server' and thus be able to 'host' themselves easily and without any issues.

56k dialup internet went years ago (which caused major upload/download limitations and video transmission was virtually impossible too), but incredibly due to very SLOW internet speeds even today and the rise of large tech companies over previous years storing people's content, the home server revolution never happened - so keeping ALL your stuff on someone else's system now is the trend, until of course they lose or decide to delete your data!

Possibly in a few years 'home' servers I think MAY actually destroy big tech companies - they only technically have empty servers in reality and ALL rely on uploads as their business model - but if people get fed up of being 'hosted' by them, are banned, removed, deplatformed etc - they might decide to data-dump THEIR content over onto THEIR own system? Ok, it needs quite a lot of 'housekeeping' in order to get the website working, but hey soon AI could do all that! Already Alexa can play your music etc, so your very own AI (bot) buddy could soon run your website. Makes one think huh, and maybe the tech companies building HUGE data centres isn't such a great idea? Won't be much good if there's no 'data' in it, because people now have their own home-based AI system!

It's actually starting now with high profile podcasters etc creating their own 'off-bigtech grid' systems rather than using generic ones they may have been thrown out of! So the rise of the 'website' may be reborn again. Certainly it's the best way to stop scammers and catfish pretending to be someone else as the domain points to the real person (like for this site) - on social media a tech company gives 'space' to anyone, even fakes! Many social media sites say: REAL..personsname - but is that fact or fiction?

Anyway - it's kinda weird returning back to my old HP550 laptop running XP, doing HTML once again with classic Dreamweaver 4 and Filezilla FTP to then upload all this data.

While this site is 'designed' on a laptop screen system, by using a table frameset in Dreamweaver this proved to be very 'mobile friendly' and thus anyone should be able to view this site on either device as the page structure adapts to the screen used.
